>Deadly Ties by Vicki Hinze Reveiw & Surprise!

>

Book Description from Back Cover:

Her enemy will stop at nothing for control…she will risk everything for freedom.

A horrific crime shatters Lisa Harper’s idyllic childhood. Her father is dead and her desperate mother, Annie, quickly marries Dutch Hauk, an abusive monster who soon reveals his hatred for Lisa. To protect her, Annie defies her ruthless husband and forfeits custody to a trusted friend. Enraged, Dutch vows to keep Annie and Lisa apart—and he does. Years later, though keenly aware of Dutch’s evil intent, Lisa and her mother seize a chance to be a family, safe in a home where love dwells. But they fail to fathom how far Dutch will go to keep his vow.

Determined to control his women, Dutch proves resourceful. His associates in crime are feared at the highest levels across the globe—and for Lisa they plan a fate worse than death. Yet she too has formidable connections: ones like former Special Operations officer Mark Taylor. Burdened by his own traumatic past, Mark has loved Lisa from afar. Now, for Lisa and her mother to survive, Mark must risk his life—and even more difficult for him, he must trust God—as one question haunts them all: Can Mark and Lisa untangle these deadly ties before it’s too late?

My Opinion:

Vickie Hinze creates a suspense filled tale that keeps you hooked, you will not want to put this book down! I loved how the characters were portrayed in this book. Deadly Ties is a Christian romantic suspense novel. It’s the second book in the series, and some things in this story won’t be entirely clear unless you’ve read the first ~ Forget Me Not. With that being said go get Forget Me Not you will not regret it. I must say I really liked this book and would recommend this for your reading list. Even if you haven’t read Forget Me Not you will still be able to keep up with this storyline which has a nice blend of romance and suspense. I would have given this 5 stars had it not been for the fact that Anne, Lisa’s mother in the book stayed with an abusive man for so long. Coming from my background ~ My father was abusive ~ that part of the book made me cringe. But I still liked the references to God and that there was nothing “dirty” about the romance. I think this would be a great read for a young adult. I give this 4/5 stars.

>Drug Store Deals ~ Week 10

>Just wanted to post the deals I got from CVS. I had a $5 off $40 that had to be used by 4/10. So Sunday after church I went to CVS. This is what I purchased ~

I paid OOP about $13.00 the original bill came to $68.00 before my coupons and ECB’s and their in store deals. I could have probably saved more had I broken up the items into groups and made more then one transaction. If you know anything about me that doesn’t happen. If I have to go back it has to be because I forgot something. I like to go just once sometimes twice a week. OK, so OOP was $13.00 and I got back $21.73 in ECB’s. Good deal? You decide.

I used 4/$4.00 Off Air Wick. (online ~ used 2 computers)
I used 1/$5.00 off Similac (Sunday Paper)
I used 1/$1.00 off 2 Rice Krispies (online at Kellogg’s)
I used 1/$1.00 off Corn Flakes (online at Kellogg’s)
I used 1/$2.00 off 2 Special K bars (online at Kellogg’s)
I used 1/$1.00 off 1 Special K bars (online at Kellogg’s)
I used 1/BOGO Free Biore Product ($9.00 off) (Sunday Paper)
I used 1/.75 cents off Raisin Bran (online at Kellogg’s)

Then I used my ECB’s and my Total came to about $13.00 with tax.

Like I said I did get $21.73 back in ECB’s.

Have a great day!!!

>One really awesome thing about blogging is sometimes you get to review a product that is near and dear to your heart. Let’s talk about T Shirts. I recently was given a T Shirt from tshirtprinting.net.

All I can say is I love it. T Shirts are the cool thing for me. This T Shirt is made of cotton/polyester blend (90/10). The quality on this shirt was fantastic. I liked that it was soft and durable i.e. washed several times. I also have to say that I love that the monkey logo had pink in it. Made me feel like it could have been geared for a boy or girl. But, since it was for me (I love pink!) It made me feel like a girl.

Here are some interesting facts from tshirtprinting.net website ~
